Community Rules
If the Turkish and English versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
On Crossova, people actually meet: on the same plane, at the same concert, in the same stand. What you write on screen goes to someone you might be talking to face to face a few hours later. So our rules are short but serious. In one sentence: Don't write anything here you wouldn't say to someone's face.
1. Respect (non-negotiable)
- No harassment. This includes persistent messages, a flood of unwanted compliments, and "why aren't you answering" pressure.
- No hate speech. Don't demean anyone for their ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or hometown.
- No insults or threats. Teasing the rival team is stand culture. Swearing at a person or saying "I'll find you" is not.
- No bullying. This includes ganging up on someone, mocking them or shutting them out.
2. Safety
- Share the moment, not your location. No home address, live location or hotel room number. Never anyone else's.
- No doxxing. Don't share someone's phone number, address, workplace or ID details without permission.
- Meet in public places. If a stranger says "come to ours", tell us.
- No self-harm content. If you're going through a hard time, you're not alone: in an emergency, call 112. If you see such a post, report it; we give these reports priority, but reviews are not instant.
- The Safety Center is not an emergency service. SOS and safe return notify the people you choose. For police or an ambulance, call 112.
3. 18+ and honesty
- Crossova is for people aged 18 and over. If you think an account belongs to someone under 18, report it and choose "Under 18".
- One person, one account. No fake accounts, impersonation, or pretending to be a celebrity's or club's "official account".
- Kız Kıza (Girls Only) spaces are for women. Everyone who selects "woman" as their gender on their profile can join; we don't ask for documents. Misusing this choice to bother women is a reason to close the account. A "fake account" report does not restrict anyone by itself; a human reviews it and decides.
4. Content
- No nudity or sexual content. Crossova is not a dating app. Unwanted sexual messages get accounts closed fastest.
- No intimate images without consent. Sharing someone's nude or sexual photo or video without their consent, threatening to share it, or creating such an image with AI or editing (even a fake one) is strictly prohibited. Permanent closure without going through the steps, and a report to the authorities where needed. If you see this, report it and choose "Intimate image without consent": the content is hidden straight away and the account is frozen until the review is finished.
- Any content or behaviour that sexualises or exploits children: zero tolerance. Permanent closure and a report to the authorities. If you see it, report it and choose "Child sexual abuse / sexual content involving a minor": the content is hidden straight away and the account is frozen until the review is finished. Details: crossova.app/en/child-safety.
- No violence or gore. No glorifying or calling for violence either.
- Nothing illegal. No drug dealing, illegal betting or gambling, weapons, forged documents or prostitution.
- Don't deceive people with misleading information. This means fake events, fake "emergencies" or made-up news that causes panic. Disagreeing is fine; deceiving is not.
5. Other people's work
- Copyright: Don't share someone else's photo, music or video as your own without permission.
- Match and concert broadcasts: Don't share footage recorded from a TV or streaming broadcast. Your own photo from the stand is fine.
- Logos and crests: Talking about a club, brand or artist is fine. Pretending to be official is not.
- People: Ask before you share a close-up of a stranger's face. A crowd in the background at a concert is fine.
6. Spam and scams
- No mass messaging, follow-farming, Mil-farming bots or invite fraud.
- No unsolicited ads or link flooding.
- No ticket touting. Passing on a spare ticket at face value is one thing; touting is another.
- If someone asks for money, says "let's verify your card", or tries to move you off the app, they're probably a scammer. Report them.
7. Tribün specials
- Love your team, tease the rival. Not the person.
- Caps lock at a goal is fine. Writing the same message 10 times is not (that's why slow mode exists).
- Argue with the referee's decision, not with the referee's family.
8. What happens if rules are broken?
A human reviews reports; we do not use AI for automated moderation. A report on its own never restricts anyone automatically. We look at how serious the violation is and whether it's repeated. The steps are usually:
| Step | What happens | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Warning | The content is hidden and you're told which rule you broke | Borderline swearing, first spam |
| 2 · Restriction | You can't post for a while, or you're muted in Tribün for 10 minutes up to 1 day | Repeated insults, 3 strikes in Tribün |
| 3 · Temporary suspension | Your account is restricted for 1–30 days; the support chat and appeals stay open | Persistent harassment, repeated violations |
| 4 · Permanent closure | The account is closed and you're blocked from opening a new one | Severe or frequently repeated violations |
We close accounts permanently without going through the steps (and report to the authorities where needed) for:
- child sexual exploitation,
- sharing or creating intimate images without consent (including AI-generated ones),
- serious threats of violence,
- maliciously exposing someone's location or address,
- fraud,
- under-18 accounts,
- illegal sales.
The one exception: when a report is made for "Child sexual abuse / sexual content involving a minor" or "Intimate image without consent", to stop possible harm straight away the content is hidden immediately and the account is frozen until the review is finished. If there is no violation, everything is restored. Apart from this, no restriction is automatic; a human always makes the decision.
When we take a decision, we tell you in the app which rule we relied on and why.
9. How to report
- Every post, comment, story, message, profile, group and Cross has ⋯ → Report. We never tell the other person who reported them.
- The content you report (in a chat, together with a few earlier messages) becomes visible to the person reviewing it.
- Block anyone who bothers you. People you block don't see you in lists and chats, and you don't see them. If they still bother you, write to us.
- If it's urgent (a threat, danger at a meetup), call 112 first; then report and write to us via Settings → Contact us.
- We review reports as soon as we can and look at urgent and severe ones first. Reviews are not instant.
- If you're not a Crossova user and believe your rights have been infringed: [email protected].
10. Appealing a decision
Everyone makes mistakes, including us. If your content was hidden or your account restricted, within 14 days of learning of the decision you can:
- tap Appeal in the app (it works while your account is restricted or suspended), or
- write to [email protected].
A human reviews your appeal and we tell you the outcome with reasons. If you're right, your content or account comes back; we say sorry and move on.
For content removed under a court or official order, you appeal to the authority that issued it. We only carry out the order.
11. Last word
These rules can't cover every situation. We may also act on behaviour that isn't listed but clearly harms someone. If we update the rules, we'll let you know in the app.
Same place, same time, being good to each other. 💛
